This week saw another battle of the Nicetri over 60's where Phil and Pat resume their challenge of World domination (well European this week)

Both competing in the Clumber park 2018 European sprint duathlon qualifier, and again both athletes showing great form and both qualified.

Phil Redden won his age group and Pat Ellerbeck was second in his. Phil had a strong first run,and a minute and a half quicker than Pat,who then recorded a great 33.48 bike split, which gave him a significant advantage over Phil albeit in the slighly younger age category.

Final times Pat 1.09.58 and Phil 1.11.48.

Also competing in at Clumber Park, and still on the recovery road from injury was Ian Mulcahy who competed in the standard event recording a time of 2.50.46,a great effort after a long lay off.

The next battle of our two over 60's age groupers takes place in 3 weeks at Bedford over the standard distance, and although in different age groups i'm sure Phil will be looking to get the better of Pat.

This is so great to see these guys battling it out!
