Today saw some great racing in tricky damp conditions at the Thurleigh Autodrome.

Yet again the NiceTri club had some sterling results over several age group catagories that were keenly contested for places in the World championships to be held in Canada

Finishing 1st in the Age group 35-39 and 4th overall was Michael Taylor in a time of 0.56.06, Michael has really hit a rich vein of form following on from his 1hr 17min victory in the Cambridge boundary half marathon a couple of weeks ago.

Scott Thomas was next over the finish line for the club in a time of 0.57.33 finishing 8th in a very competitive 15-19 age group and 21st overall

Kyle Chesterman 10th in the the 30-34 age group and 49th overall just missing out on a sub 1hr time of 1.00.04.

Les Thomas 9th in the 45-49 age group in a time of 1.03.06

And probably hardest fough battle today between Pat Ellerbeck and Phil Redden, albeit in different age categories, they love a good battle with Phil looking strong on the 1st run, Pat Edging out on the Bike and then Phil pushing hard on the 2nd run but not quite catching up with Pat. Great racing by both guys and the competition helping Phil who managed 1st place in his age group 65-69 in a superb 1.06.19 and Pat just under a minute quicker but coming in 3rd in a fiercly conetested 60-64 age group in a time of 1.05.23

And last but certainly not least for the Nicetri racers was Jeremy Hill in a time of 1.16.51, the time much slower than Jeremy is capable of as he was helping pace someone round to get under a time of 1.30.00 which they smashed in under 1.17.00.

Another great event by the NiceTri Events team, and the superb marshalls doing a great job in the damp conditions.
