This weekend saw the start of the Duathlon season for many of the Nicetri club members, The event held by Nicetri Events at Grafham water on what felt like a beautiful spring morning had some awesome results for the Club
The event was held over 2 distances, Sprint and Standard and was a non-drafting.
For the sprint distance race, a fantastic 2nd place overall and 1st in his age category 35-39 for Michael Taylor in a time of 1.09.55
Also in this race was Pat Ellebeck who finished 13th overall in a time of 1.21.11 winning the 60-64 age group, Phil Redden in 18th place with a time of 1.25.33 winning the 65-69 age group and for the clubs only female entrant winning her age group of 25-29 was Izzie Pettit in a time of 1.26.31

Ironman specialist Jeremy Hill who is warming up for another season over the Ironman distance came in at in a time of 1.31.38 and Paul Ruddlesdin 1.42.49 coming back from a long term back injury
The standard distance saw Kyle Chesterman deliver the best result for Nicetri club, 17th overall in a time of 2.10.02 and long distance specialist Ian Moran finish in a credible 2.27.47 closely followed by Dr.David Irwin in 2.30.53
A great start to the season with 4 age category 1st places from the Nicetri club, looks like it is going to be another great season. Roll on the Summer!
