This weekend saw Nicetri events stage the middle distance British championship with the iconic 'Grafman' race. On the day the condition's were perfect for racing and the event brought the very best middle distance triathletes from around the country to race at the beautiful Grafham water. There were 5 members of the St Neots Nicetri club that competed in the event which compromised of a 1900m swim, 90km Bike and then a 21km Run

Kyle Chesterman (M25-29) had an excellent debut to the middle distance event posting a time of 4:38:47. He had a solid start with the swim and then really increased his position in the race with a strong bike leg. Kyle said afterwards  "The new rolling swim start worked really well, making it a much more comfortable than normal, I then went onto the bike where I knew I could have fun and picked up over 130 places. After that I had to hold it together on the run as the heat picked up. The crowds were fantastic and the support from the local NiceTri, Riverside Runners and BRJ clubs was massive. Once again Nicetri events have organised a fantastic race"

Richard Williams (M40-44) also had a solid race and finished with 5:13:23. Richard had a great swim and bike but then finished with an excellent run leg (1:41:34). Richard was using the event as a warm up test for the Ironman UK which he is competing on July 17th 2016.

The other members to complete the race were Jermey Hill (5:49:04) Andy Neeves (6:26:36) Paul Ruddlesdin (6:27:02) who all competed in the M45-49 age bracket. The event was Paul and Andy's first middle distance and both were really pleased to finish and enjoyed the event.
