The first race of the weekend involved Sam Williams (in the standard distance) who had a strong 1st run and bike leg and came home 8th in his age group and 4th placed GB athlete.
The next race was the sprint classification. Karl Hiner had a solid race with 3rd fastest bike split coming 6th overall and 4th placed GB athlete.
Tom Stead had a brilliant 1st run and fastest bike split of the day but unfortunately came 4th in AG being beaten by 6 seconds to bronze.
Phil Redden (10th in AG) , Dawn Parr (11th in AG) and Paul Ridley (23rd in AG) all completed and enjoyed the day.
Race of the champs went to local St Neots CC duathlete Richard Hancock who became
European AG group 45-49 champion with a really strong bike leg and final run in the sprint distance. Richard had been looking for success for many years coming 4th for the last two ETU duathlon championships. He said his biggest sporting dream had come true.
